audition announcement!

Spectrum Theatre Ensemble is thrilled to announce auditions for the company’s 2023 Season, which will be comprised of a series of short plays that originated from STE’s Neurodivergent Playwright Initiative. These plays will be developed and performed over the course of the year at the Neurodiversity Everywhere New Play Initiative Readings and the Neurodiversity New Play Festival. Here are the plays STE will be highlighting this year:

  • Space by Harmon dot Aut

  • A Firework Unexploded by Dave Osmundsen

  • Miss Diagnosed by Kyle A. Smith

  • Morning after the Mêlée by Scott C. Sickles

  • Keeping Mum by Craven Poole

  • Candyland Correctional by Maya Jones

  • Talk is Cheap by Anthony Rutenbeck

  • /a.dick.ted/ by Teddy Lytle

Register by emailing our Executive Assistant with your resumé, headshot, and date you plan to audition. If you are offered a role(s), you may not be asked to participate in all readings and performances depending on your availability. STE’s season auditions welcome neurodivergent and neurotypical performers of varying experience levels. Please let us know if you need any accommodations during the audition/rehearsal process. If you are unable to make either audition day, please reach out to our Executive Assistant, as we will work to accommodate you.

Dates & Times: June 14th and 15th from 6-8pm

Location: Social Enterprise Greenhouse, 10 Davol Square (Suite 100), Providence, Rhode Island 02903

Audition Material: 1 minute contemporary monologue

Performances: Neurodiversity New Play Festival (September 7-9th)
